Chinua “Chin” Matthews is a Black queer knitter and designer in the San Francisco Bay Area. He makes designs that are versatile and easily integrated into any wardrobe. He has a passion for making knitting accessible and helping to teach about the environmental benefits of slow fashion.

Dario Tubiana is an Italian knitwear designer working between Amsterdam and Rome, combining hand-knitting traditions with contemporary design research. Trained in Creative Knitwear Design in Rome, he has worked for brands such as United Colors of Benetton and Esprit and collaborates with leading yarn companies and international magazines. He also teaches worldwide at major knitting events and universities, focusing on knitwear construction, texture, and embroidery.

Jen Geigley is a knitwear designer known for modern, wearable designs that blend thoughtful construction with everyday ease. Drawing inspiration from slow fashion, art, and real life, her work encourages knitters to build intentional, long-lasting handmade wardrobes.

Jennifer Berg is a Dine/Navajo Knitwear designer. She grew up on the Navajo Reservation but now resides in Albuquerque, NM. She was immersed in Native Artwork while growing up in her Family’s Business, Chee’s Indian Store. She mixes her heritage into her designs and educates through each piece. She loves teaching and uses her platforms to point others to Native American owned businesses and artistry.

Originally from Southern CA, Kirsten moved to South Carolina with her husband and quickly planted roots in the scenic LowCountry. After 8 years, life events brought her back to CA, and these two coasts strongly influence her pattern design aesthetic. She believes in being intentional about taking time for yourself through craft and her versatile patterns enable you to be present for all of life’s little moments.

Lavanya Patricella is an American fiber artist, knitting instructor, knitwear designer, and author based in North Eastern Pennsylvania. She’s been teaching knitting since 2010 and has published more than 100 original patterns since 2014 both independently and in select publications.

Lis was first taught to knit by her grandmother when she was young but over the past decade her passion for knitting has grown from a skill into a vocation. A love of textiles and hand crafts beyond knitting inspires and informs her process, and includes sewing as well as growing and working with natural dyes from her home garden. While holding her coastal New England roots at heart, Lis happily calls the Pacific Northwest her home, with a posse of mischievous cats by her side.

Meghan Babin (she/her) is an independent hand knitwear designer who lives and works in South County, Rhode Island. She was the editor-in-chief of Interweave Knits (2015-2018) and the co-founder of Hudson + West Co. (2019-2025), a 100% American-made, women-owned yarn company. Safiyyah is the author of Knit 2 Socks in 1 and Knitting Cowlettes. She is also a knitwear designer, instructor, and podcaster who works out of her home in scenic Indiana, USA. When she is knitting, Safiyyah either spends her free time hiking with her photographer husband, her toddler son Beau, and chocolate lab, Arya, or enjoying the rural Indiana landscape with her three cats, Khaleessi, Nymeria, and Benjamin Chase.

Samantha Guerin is a knitwear designer based in coastal New England. She pairs wearable silhouettes with modern techniques and loves working with yarns that tell a story. Her patterns are written to support knitters in building skills and confidence as they craft a handmade wardrobe with intention.
